I am pleased to share my latest project, Visceral Topographies, which will be taking place from November 18th -22nd at the Chicago Artist Coalition. I will be inviting the Chicago art community into my studio, to take prints of their scars, which will then be assembled in an archive. Visceral Topographies looks at the topography of the body as a landscape of memories. Georgraphic locations are layered onto bodily locations in the form of scars that show the shape and form of the body’s personal history.
All the scars taken will be shown in the New Work show at Sullivan Galleries at SAIC from Dec.14th- Feb. 15th. I have included a link to the facebook event, as well at the digital archive of scars as scararchive.tumblr.com.
